Installing opencv in Ubuntu 12.04

sudo apt-get install libopencv-dev libcv-dev

then compile using

g++ `pkg-config --cflags opencv` codename.cpp `pkg-config --libs opencv` -o codename

if you get a highhui error replace

# include <highgui>

with

#include "opencv2/highgui/highgui.hpp"
